FAQ's

What is the minimum length of time I must agree to?

There is no minimum length of time per visit although 1 hour visits are charged at a higher rate to ensure costs like travel and insurance are met.

How much do you charge?

Because individual propertys have different requirements, we operate on a job by job valuation taking into account your own requirements. For visits charged by the hour, rates can vary from £12.95 to £17.95 per hour.

Please note. Evenings, weekends and bank holidays are charged at higher rates.

Will I get the same Housekeeper each time?

If you have regular services with us you will get the same Housekeeper/s each visit unless they are away on holiday, in which case we'll send a suitable replacement if required. We will never send a replacement Housekeeper who you haven't met personally and confirmed that you're happy with for cover.

Your replacement Housekeeper will have been briefed on your household and requirements so she'll know exactly what to do when she arrives.

What if I'm not completely satisfied with my Houskeeper?

If at any point you are not happy with the service you receive we'll do all we can to make things right.

This could be;

  • We can talk to your housekeeper about what she/he does and how they could improve or do things differently,
  •  Personally working alongside them to improve their service,
  • or introduce a new housekeeper.

How can I feel safe leaving my house key with my Housekeeper?

Clean Living Housekeeping has a strict key holding policy in place. All keys are locked up overnight and only taken out the day they are needed.

We also have added insurance specifically for loss or theft of keys so you can relax knowing your proprty is in good hands.

Do I need to be home when my Housekeeper comes?

No, you can leave your housekeeper with a key so he/she can let him/her self in. Key safes are also used, that way, your key never leaves your property.

What is your cancellation policy?

We ask that you give us at least 48 hours notice before cancelling any services. If for any reason you change your mind about the services you receive let us know. There is no contract to sign so you're free to come and go as you please.

How are Housekeepers selected?

Cleaning Living Housekeeping puts a great deal of attention into recruiting the right Housekeepers.

1. All Housekeepers are interviewed in their own homes so we can see how they live themselves, their level of organisation and attention to detail.

 2. We look over the evidence of each Housekeepers experience, qualifications and awards, check their references and complete DBS/CRB checks.

3. Successful applicants are assessed on their individual strengths, weaknesses and work preferences to determine which roles suit them best.

4. Housekeepers then go through our intensive training programme which includes indepth infection control and Health and Safety matters before behinning their trial period.
